Juan Villarreal

When Juan was in high school, he worked at a business school where he got to listen to master level classes. These classes sparked his passion for accounting and sent him on a journey that would take him out of his home country, Mexico, to Wisconsin to pursue a technical degree in accounting followed by a bachelor’s degree. During this time Juan developed his organizational, analytical, and leadership skills by joining professional clubs and committees. His work included developing and applying improvements to the school, changing policies to better serve the needs of students, helping minorities grow their careers, planning and coordinating networking events, and accounting for weatherization programs targeted to people in need. This work had a profound effect on Juan and ignited a desire to use his language skills to help others achieve their dreams. He obtained a Spanish Translation/Interpretation Certificate to be better prepared to reach his goal.

There are two reasons why Juan goes to Mexico often: family and food. When he is not working, you can find Juan in the middle of the forest covered in mud, knee deep in snow scrambling through rocks and trees, hanging dozens of feet off the ground rock climbing, or relaxing by the fire surrounded by friends and music. Juan loves anything that is new and poses a challenge, both in work and outside of work.
